Learning

so i'm learning to quilt . . . well, as i've been told, i'm working on machine piecing. but still, it's a start. and it's an exciting start. i love knowing that i have so much more to learn. and this experience is bringing home the truth of what daniel pink writes in his book drive. i am motivated because i want to more toward mastery . . . here's my first full attempt from start to finish.

Here we go again . . .

tried this blogging thing before but i'm consistently inconsistent (insert brilliant thoreau quote about how consistency is the hobgoblin of something or other to excuse character flaw). but i'm gonna try it again. and try it my way. no close focus. no need to be brilliant. just me and the things i love--because i'm curious about the world around me.
